Anecdote!

My mom's side of the family is really funny sometimes. They are really messed up. My grandma and grandpa are...well...big. We call them Grandma Mic and Pappy. They're sort of hillbilly-ish. My grandpa calls houses, shacks, for example. It's really embarrassing. They have a lake house that we go to sometimes. We go fishing or swimming or something. I usually sit on the dock and fall asleep, take pictures, and come home sunburnt, but it's still fun. One day, we went to the bridge to fish. My grandma kept saying, "Let's go on the left side of the bridge because on the right side, the stupid people get their lines caught in the telephone wires." So we go to the left side of the bridge. My grandma was really excited, so she jumped right off the golf cart and started casting her line. I was just getting off the cart when I heard an, "Oh crap!" come from my grandma. I looked up to see her line aught in the phone wires. I started laughing really hard and said, "So now YOU'RE a stupid person?" My grandma didn't think it was so funny. She got really mad at me and just about wanted throw me off the bridge. Everytime we go past the bridge now, we see my grandma's bright green fishing line hanging from the phone wires. We always say, "There's Grandma Mic's fishing line!" Every time, she gets mad at me all over again. What does it all mean? What essential wisdom did I learn from this? Never talk about the "stupid people" because after saying that stupid comment, you will probably end up being a stupid person yourself.

Some funny things I found :) (can't figure out how to do a picture :/ Darn ittt!!!)
"You think I'm dumb but you're overestimating me!!!!" If you're being overestimated, then you're even dumber.
"Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups." Stupid people in large groups will do even stupider things.
"I don't repeat gossip, so listen carefully!" Usually if you don't repeat gossip, you don't say it to anyone else, but this is saying that you only tell someone else once.

What issue caused him to take action? More human rights needed in China

Was the issue global or local? Local because it mainly affects China but global because he might inspire other people to do similar things in their countries

How did the person take action? Took part in Tianamen Square Protests in 1989, and a leading author in the charter 2008 published 60 years after the UN declared human rights

What media channels did he use to take action? How did he use each? The news because the Tianamen Sqare Protests made the news and the book he wrote because other people read it.

-How do you say his name? It's too fast and complicated. I can't say it.

-What exactly did he do? He was one of the leading protesters in the protests.

-Why was he let out of prison early? He went to his father's funeral, but he had to go back to jail.

-Did he have to pay to be let out? No because he had to go back.

-Why was he sent to prison? For protesting against the government.

How does this person inspire you? He inspires me because it shows that you should do what is best for most people and you, even if you're punished for it at first.

Bullying Survey Results!!!

Thanks to everyone who took my survey!!!! :) Now this is what I have come up with based on your answers.
-Most of you said bullying was a little problem or that we could use less of it
-Most people have witnessed bullying this school year
-Most people walk away when they see bullying
-Most people have not bullied another person this school year
-Most people have not been bullied this school year
I think that our school could have less bullying but I think the main change that needs to happen is that when people see it they need to do something.

It applies to bullying in our school because we usually walk away when we see it happen and we don't stop it from happening again. Like genocide, we say we will stop it, but it really never gets done unless we try to stop it.
